Rates are indicative and shown per monthly box. On a prepay plan you're billed shipping per despatch, not all at once. Prices reflect real overseas parcel costs — we pass them on at cost, never as a margin. A wee dram sample means some boxes ship as 18+ where required by law.

The wee questions, answered
Why do I pay for shipping?
We keep the box price honest by charging postage separately — at cost, never marked up. Sending real Scottish goods (glass jars, wool, shortbread, a wee dram) across oceans isn't cheap, and rolling it into the price would mean charging our UK friends for miles they never travel. This way, everyone pays only for the journey their box actually makes.
How much is shipping to my country?
Indicative per-box rates: £9.95 UK · £16.95 Europe · £24.95 USA & Canada · £24.95 rest of world. Use the shipping calculator above to check yours. Final postage is confirmed at checkout based on the exact weight of the month's box.
Do you really ship worldwide?
Aye — from the Highlands to Houston, Sydney to Singapore. If the postie can reach you, we can send you a wee bit of home. A handful of countries restrict alcohol imports; for those, we swap the dram for an extra Scottish treat of the same value, no questions asked.
Will I be charged customs or import duty?
For most destinations, no. Where local customs or import charges do apply, they're set by your country and are the recipient's responsibility — we've no way to waive them. We declare every box honestly and pack the paperwork to keep it moving smoothly through customs.
When are boxes despatched?
Boxes leave Edinburgh in the first week of each month. Order by the 25th to catch that month's box; after that you'll start with the next one. On a prepay plan, each box ships on its own monthly schedule — you're billed shipping per despatch, not all up front.
Can I pause, skip or cancel?
On the monthly rolling plan, absolutely — pause, skip a month or cancel any time from your account, nae quibbles. Prepay plans (3, 6 and 12 months) are paid up front for the term; you can pause future renewals whenever you like, and we'll never auto-roll you into a new prepay without asking.
What if a box arrives damaged?
We pack every box to survive its travels, but if something arrives broken, send us a photo within 14 days at hello@caledoniabox.com and we'll replace it or refund it. Our makers put their hearts into these goods — we'll aye make it right.
Can I send a box as a gift?
You can — and it's one of the loveliest things you can do for a homesick Scot. Choose a one-off gift box or a prepaid gift subscription, add a handwritten note, and we'll ship it straight to them with no pricing anywhere in sight. Head to Send a Gift to set it up.
